Delivering sound, market- based advice on the development and delivery of Affordable Housing
The Challenge
The market is failing to deliver appropriate and affordable housing choice for a large and growing section of the community. Affordable Housing is essential to improved economic productivity, social growth and environmental sustainability of our cities and communities.
Delivering Affordable Housing requires inputs from all levels of government, the private and not-for-profit sectors. It requires appropriate planning, development and management of outcomes.
How We Respond
Affordable Development Outcomes understands Affordable Housing.
Led by Kate Breen, we apply our deep understanding of the planning system and our experience in the development and delivery of Affordable Housing to bring together the elements and develop evidence-based policies and site-specific strategies for precincts and sites.
We guide planning negotiations and develop permit controls, section 173 agreements and delivery agreements that support delivery of Affordable Housing within a commercial framework including in Build-to-Rent developments. We support local government to develop strategies and to assess its land for affordable housing, and we coordiante tenders for government funding. We review controls and provide advice as an Expert Witness at planning panels.
Our Approach
We will work collaboratively with you to understand Affordable Housing delivery and assess options to determine the best approach to meet your objectives.
We are flexible, realistic and understand the planning journey can take time and require revision of strategies over time. We deliver quality work that is widely recognised as best practice.
